Children Living with HIV/AIDS: A Multi-Centric Study from India
A sequel to the previous study on survival of PLHAs in India
In a multi-centric study from India involving three major cities - Delhi, Pune and Kolkata, we previously reported the survival of adults living with HIV/AIDS and the factors affecting their outcome and survival (click here). In a subset of our study population comprising of children below the age of 18 years who were infected with HIV and had good adherence to treatment, we looked into the factors affecting their treatment outcome.
The mortality and opportunistic infection rates were low, hence we looked at a composite outcome at the end of the follow up period. Link to the article is provided here.
