After the INDEX TB (“Indian Extrapulmonary TB”) guidelines were published in 2016, a training module on extrapulmonary TB has been released on the World TB day 2023, aiming to eliminate Tuberculosis in India 5 years ahead of the ambitious target set by the World Health Organization.
In context of the UN sustainable development goals 3.3 the End TB strategy aims to achieve a 90% reduction in TB deaths by 2030, and also reduce TB incidence by 80% compared to the levels in 2015.1

I consider it my privilege to have contributed to this module, thanks to Dr Neeraj Nischal, Department of Medicine, AIIMS New Delhi for giving the opportunity.
